Engagement Party

Such a fun weekend in Edmonton celebrating with my second cousin Chelby, and her fiance Michael. I had such a great time, and was super spoiled by all of the cuddles I got.
I'm also quite excited, because mom says that we're going to go to Scotland next year to watch them get married!

First Canadian Ultimate Championships

Mom, dad, the puppies and I are in Edmonton for the week watching some friends play at the Canadian Ultimate Championships!

It's been a great time so far, and I've also gotten to visit with my aunt and uncle, cousins, and my great aunt and uncle!

The first night we were here we met up with one of mom's friends to eat some very tasty Laos/Thai food! It was so tasty, and I got to eat a ton of it! My favorites were the spicy soup broth, and the stir fried pork.

Tomorrow we're going to watch more ultimate, and hang out with Auntie Jacqueline.

Lots of updates on my Instagram if you want to keep up with me that way!

SEA to YXE done

After two hard days of driving we're finally home!
Nothing much interesting to report; yesterday we packed up camp in Redmond and drove all the way to Creston. We woke up early this morning and completed the rest of our drive so that I could spend some time with Odin celebrating his 4th birthday!
Lots of driving, but a great first Potlatch! And a great way to celebrate my 6 month half-birthday.

*Mom's note:
This is the first trip that we've brought toys for Eevie to play with. I kept them fresh by rotating them every couple of hours or so (while she slept) so she could wake up to a "new" toy.
We once again brought too many clothes, as she double wore each outfit. I just keep waiting for the day when she gets in to mud or something, so will probably still pack assuming 1.5 outfits per day.
It was also pretty hot out a couple of the days so we went through more formula than anticipated. We also started to introduce small amounts of water this trip timing it to when we were feeding her small amounts of "real" food. She really enjoyed the fresh sockeye salmon sashimi that we had at our stop in Abbotsford

Potlatch days 3-4

We made it safely to Seattle yesterday and spent the morning wandering around the Pike Place market. We then went to see the Space Needle and the EMP museum.
Today we watched dad play his first 3 games of the tournament, and tomorrow we'll do the same all over again!

Day 2: Revelstoke to Abbotsford

Day 2 of travelling is done!
We just had a short trip (5.5 hours) from Revelstoke to Abbotsford. Dad got us some sushi for supper (I really love sockeye salmon sashimi!) and we found a cute little campground with lots of grass for me to practice my baby yoga poses on.
Tomorrow we're going to cross into the US and spend most of the day exploring Seattle before heading to the fields.

Potlatch here we come!

This morning we left on our family road trip to watch dad play Potlatch in Redmond! We're going to be camping in BC tonight and tomorrow, then heading down to spend Friday day in Seattle and head to the fields Friday night.
Packing wise, mom brought the same items we brought when we went camping a couple of weeks back. The only thing she added was my noise cancelling ear muffs so that we can go see 4th of July fireworks, and a couple more toys for me to play with in the car.
Photos are up on my Instagram, and more posts on the way!

Successful first camping trip!

Mom and I are home from our camping trip. All in all it was a fun couple of days!
Mom and I had never been to Cypress Hills before, it was amazing to see how different parts of Saskatchewan look!
We went yesterday to Fort Walsh and took a tour through the historic buildings. Then the boys went fishing and mom and I went back to the tent for a nap!
Since we had no cell service at the camp site, here are our photos from the trip!

First Camping Trip!

Today mom and I are headed out on my first camping trip!
We're headed down to Cypress Hills to help mom's friends Ryan and Tyrone catch some fish, and letting my puppies have some good quality time with dad.

Fingers crossed for warm weather!

Gone fishin' - Packing list

Tomorrow mom and I are going camping (for 3 nights)!
 Here's what I'm bringing:
- 1 sleeve size 3 diapers
- 1/2 sleeve size 2 diapers
-swimming diapers
- wipes
- formula
- bottles
- 2 bathing suits
- 2 pair leg warmers
- 2 pair shorts
- 2 pair pants
- 3 short sleeved onsies
- 2 long sleeved onsies
- 1 t-shirt
- 2 sweaters
- 1 pair shoes
- 2 hats
- cuddle blankets
- rattle ball
- Sophie
- 4 towels
- Uncle Mike's summer spray (to keep the bugs away)
- Beaver Sunscreen (so mom and I don't get burnt!*)
- Play tent (shade for me for during the day!)

We're going to be staying in a tent, so mom's bringing us a queen sized air mattress to sleep on.

It's supposed to be super warm where we're going next week, so I probably won't wear everything that mom brought me... but better safe than sorry!

*Mom's note: While I know that it's recommended that you're not supposed to put sunscreen on infants less than 6 months old, I've weighed the potential of her getting sun burnt vs putting on of the least chemical filled sunscreen I could find ... and the sunscreen won out,

Travelling Day

We left London early this morning and hopped on our first of two flights to get home.
The flight attendants were all really nice, and one of them gave me my first set of wings!

We now have a long layover in Minniapolis, and then we'll be home! Mat has been posting some photos of my dogs, and I'm excited to see them again!

London: Day 1, Part 2

This afternoon was a looong day of walking!
We saw:

  • Westminster Abbey
  • Big Ben
  • The Eye of London
  • London Bridge
  • The Tower Bridge
  • The Tower of London
We also took the tube back from the Tower of London because Mom was getting a bit tired and wanted to take some sort of transportation back rather than walking. I was cool with that, because I was getting a bit hungry and it's difficult to eat whilst sitting in my carrier.

Tomorrow we head out early to catch a plane, and then we're on our way home!

London: Day 1, Part 1

This morning we said good-bye to Luca and Cambridge and hopped on the train to London. Because we missed it on our last go round, we made sure to stop off and get our picture taken at Platform 9-3/4 where I was a super star. We had our pick of scarves, but obviously I'm a Gryffindor. So is mom.
After getting our photos taken, we headed down to the tube and got on the train to Victoria Station. Mom and Dad had been here before, but this was my first time.
We just checked in to our hotel for the night, and are planning out our sightseeing for the day... so more to come tonight!

Cambridge: day 5

We didn't do much today since we're going to have a big day sightseeing in London tomorrow.
I did get to experience my first church on the way home from supper this evening though. It was pretty nice, and there were some people who were practicing bell songs while we were in there. (Did you know that there are different church bell songs? It's not all bong bong bong. )

Cambridge: day 4

Today we walked through the market square and went punting! I was a bit cranky for the first part, but eventually fell asleep for the remainder of the ride.

Cambridge: day 3

Today we helped Auntie and Uncle move to their new home.
We also played some cards and ate some pizza.
Tomorrow I'm quite excited as we are planning on going punting!

Cambridge: Day 2

This morning Auntie A made us pancakes and bacon rashers for breakfast. After I got dressed up, we walked to The Orchard for coffee and scones. It was a lovely walk that took us through Cambridge to Grantchester.

The place that we stopped at is known for having many writers write there, such as Virginia Woolf and A. A. Milne.
After coffee, we started our walk home, this time along the river. Their river isn't as big as our one at home, but they have swans on it.
Tonight Auntie A is cooking us up a lamb leg, and tomorrow we're going to help them move.

We've arrived!

After many hours of travelling, we finally made it to Cambridge. Our first flight from Saskatoon to Minniapolis wasn't the best as we were stuck in the back of the plane and had no window. I also got a bit scared when we rapidly started our decent and cried for the rest flight. Mom got me some food after that and it was all good after.
Our flight from Minniapolis to London was pretty awesome, the flight attendants got me a bassinet that attached to the wall, so I got to sleep by myself for a while.
After our flight from London we hopped on the Picadilly line to Kings Cross (where I got to see platform 9-3/4!) and we then continued on to Cambridge where we surprised Auntie A when we knocked on the door.

Tomorrow we're going to wander around the town and get in some nice photo ops.

All my bags are packed...

...I'm ready to go!

Packing for a week to visit Auntie A and Uncle G for the first time in Cambridge!
Mom's being ambitious and trying to pack all we need in carry on... here's my list:

  • 1 sleeve of diapers
  • 1 pack of wipes
  • 2 containers of formula
  • 5 bottles
  • 2 pairs of socks
  • 2 pairs of pants
  • 5 onsies
  • 2 sweaters
  • 1 jacket
  • 2 pairs of pj's (+1 that I'll be wearing on the plane)
We're also bringing along some gifts for Auntie A, and all Mom's clothes for the week.
Dad thinks we're crazy, so he's bringing a checked bag... just in case I come home with some souvenirs :)

First Family Vacation

Went to Banff for the weekend with a bunch of mom and dad's friends.
Saturday mom and I walked around with Alisa, taking in the sights of downtown Banff.

Sunday mom, dad and I met up with Ryan and Alisa and had hot chocolate at the Fairmont Banff Hotel.
