Cambridge: day 5

We didn't do much today since we're going to have a big day sightseeing in London tomorrow.
I did get to experience my first church on the way home from supper this evening though. It was pretty nice, and there were some people who were practicing bell songs while we were in there. (Did you know that there are different church bell songs? It's not all bong bong bong. )

Cambridge: day 4

Today we walked through the market square and went punting! I was a bit cranky for the first part, but eventually fell asleep for the remainder of the ride.

Cambridge: day 3

Today we helped Auntie and Uncle move to their new home.
We also played some cards and ate some pizza.
Tomorrow I'm quite excited as we are planning on going punting!

Cambridge: Day 2

This morning Auntie A made us pancakes and bacon rashers for breakfast. After I got dressed up, we walked to The Orchard for coffee and scones. It was a lovely walk that took us through Cambridge to Grantchester.

The place that we stopped at is known for having many writers write there, such as Virginia Woolf and A. A. Milne.
After coffee, we started our walk home, this time along the river. Their river isn't as big as our one at home, but they have swans on it.
Tonight Auntie A is cooking us up a lamb leg, and tomorrow we're going to help them move.

We've arrived!

After many hours of travelling, we finally made it to Cambridge. Our first flight from Saskatoon to Minniapolis wasn't the best as we were stuck in the back of the plane and had no window. I also got a bit scared when we rapidly started our decent and cried for the rest flight. Mom got me some food after that and it was all good after.
Our flight from Minniapolis to London was pretty awesome, the flight attendants got me a bassinet that attached to the wall, so I got to sleep by myself for a while.
After our flight from London we hopped on the Picadilly line to Kings Cross (where I got to see platform 9-3/4!) and we then continued on to Cambridge where we surprised Auntie A when we knocked on the door.

Tomorrow we're going to wander around the town and get in some nice photo ops.

All my bags are packed...

...I'm ready to go!

Packing for a week to visit Auntie A and Uncle G for the first time in Cambridge!
Mom's being ambitious and trying to pack all we need in carry on... here's my list:

  • 1 sleeve of diapers
  • 1 pack of wipes
  • 2 containers of formula
  • 5 bottles
  • 2 pairs of socks
  • 2 pairs of pants
  • 5 onsies
  • 2 sweaters
  • 1 jacket
  • 2 pairs of pj's (+1 that I'll be wearing on the plane)
We're also bringing along some gifts for Auntie A, and all Mom's clothes for the week.
Dad thinks we're crazy, so he's bringing a checked bag... just in case I come home with some souvenirs :)
